Mark Shapiro, president of Samost Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Southern New Jersey, describes the critical services provided by JFCS for families in need in South Jersey. Programs range from food pantries and job search counseling services to programs for developmentally disabled adults and home healthcare services for senior citizens.

Super Sunday Co-Chairs Dollinger and Polikoff praise volunteers for participation

Super Sunday co-chairs Jamie Dollinger and Suzanne Levy-Polikoff praised the many volunteers who manned the phones and handled donation paperwork during the January 27 Super Sunday fundraiser at the Katz JCC.The pair also invited volunteers to participate in “Super Week” followup phone calls.

Mitzvah Camp makes ‘double-chai’ donation to Super Sunday campaign

The Mitzvah Camp, a program for children of people volunteering at the Jewish Federation’s Super Sunday fund raising event, donated $36, or “double chai” to the Super Sunday event. Sheri Pecarsky, Young Adult Division Community Service Co-Chair, visited the call center to talk about the donation with JCV-TV’s Steve Lubetkin. Pecarsky, dressed as Snow White, was accompanied by children participating in the Mitzvah Camp program.

Young Adult Division co-chair Iris Snyder urges young adults to support Jewish philanthropy
